In this episode of Prophetic Voices, we’ll be discussing the lectionary for Sunday, September 3: Proper 17. The texts covered in this episode are Exodus 3:1-15, Matthew 16:21-28, Romans 12:9-21. Our amazing guests this week are: 

  • The talented Phoebe Chatfield, who serves as the program associate for Creation Care and Justice for The Presiding Bishop’s Office of The Episcopal Church. She lives in Somerville, Mass., and is committed to creating a world where all can thrive. 
  • The Rev. Leon Sampson, who serves as curate at Good Shepherd Mission in Navajoland. He is an accomplished chef who enjoys sharing food and stories with friends. 
  • Dr. Delia Heck, from Callaway, Va. She is a member of the Task Force on Creation Care and Environmental Racism for The Episcopal Church and is a professor of environmental science at Ferrum College in Ferrum, Va.
